Join us from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19, 2026 for Finding North — a 3-day navigation challenge through the forests, fields, and villages of Brandenburg.
No maps. No GPS. Only compass. All participants start at the same location and may only travel on foot. The goal is simple: travel as far north as possible within 3 days while minimizing your east-west deviation.
Getting There
- Meeting point: The exact starting location in Brandenburg will be announced closer to the event date. It will be reachable by regional train and public transport from Berlin.
- Flights: Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is the closest major airport and offers direct rail connections into Brandenburg.
- Trains: Brandenburg is well connected through Germany’s regional rail network. Most participants should plan to arrive via Berlin and continue using RE/RB regional trains.
Game Info
- Format: A 3-day navigation and endurance challenge focused on orientation and decision-making.
- Objective: Travel as far north as possible within the time limit while minimizing east-west deviation from the starting line.
- Navigation: No maps or GPS devices are allowed. Participants may only use a compass and environmental clues to navigate.

- Limited phone reception in some areas
- Changing weather conditions
Bring proper outdoor clothing, water, food, camping equipment, and comfortable footwear.
About Brandenburg
Brandenburg offers large forests, open landscapes, small villages, lakes, and long stretches with little orientation — making it an ideal setting for a navigation-based challenge.
